What Therapy Can Look Like

In our sessions, we can incorporate a variety of approaches, such as talk therapy, expressive art, EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, KAP (Ketamine assisted psychotherapy), or even dreamwork, depending on what feels right for you. You’re in control of the process, we’ll only explore the modalities you’re comfortable with, and I won’t push you toward anything you’re not interested in. My goal is to create a supportive, flexible environment where you feel empowered to engage in the work that resonates with you.

Talk therapy
Talk therapy is a collaborative space where we slow down and explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences with care and curiosity. Together, we can notice patterns, make sense of what you’ve been carrying, and begin shifting what no longer feels aligned. This work can support you through a wide range of concerns, from relationship challenges to questions of identity, trauma, or life transitions.
EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a trauma-focused approach that helps the brain reprocess distressing experiences so they no longer feel as overwhelming in the present. Using bilateral stimulation, EMDR supports your nervous system in integrating memories in a way that reduces emotional intensity and creates space for new, more adaptive beliefs. It is commonly used for PTSD and can also support anxiety, phobias, and other concerns rooted in overwhelming or unresolved experiences.
IFS
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a gentle, insight-oriented approach that helps you explore your inner world with curiosity and compassion. IFS is based on the idea that we all have different “parts” of us that carry feelings, beliefs, and protective roles. In our work together, we slow down to understand these parts rather than judge or push them away, while strengthening your connection to your core Self, the steady, compassionate center within you. This process can foster healing, clarity, and a greater sense of internal balance.

Expressive Arts

Expressive art in therapy allows us to incorporate creative activities into our sessions, such as drawing, painting, or using other forms of artistic expression. This approach can be especially helpful when words alone aren't enough to convey your emotions or experiences. By engaging in the creative process, you can tap into deeper layers of self-expression, explore complex feelings, and discover new ways to communicate.

Dreamwork
Dreamwork invites us to explore your dreams as meaningful expressions of your inner world. Rather than assigning fixed meanings to symbols or imagery, this process is led by the client; you guide the interpretation based on your own associations, emotions, and lived experiences. Dreams can offer insight into what may be unfolding beneath the surface, supporting emotional processing, and clarity.
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy
(KAP) is an approach that combines ketamine with therapy to support deeper exploration and healing. For some people, ketamine can create a sense of openness or softening that allows them to access emotions, memories, or insights that may feel difficult to reach in traditional talk therapy alone. This work is always approached with intention, including preparation beforehand and integration afterward, so that what emerges can be understood and meaningfully woven into your life.

Relationship/Couples Therapy

In couples therapy, I often use the Gottman Method, an evidence based approach designed to help partners strengthen their relationships through improved communication, conflict resolution, and emotional connection. My goal is to create a supportive space that honors your relationship and fosters growth.
